BEHAVIOUR THERAPISTS

Our team of Therapists are key to the success of our centre. They are dedicated, passionate, and responsible individuals who work with our families and children in one-to-one setting and school settings, carrying out the program goals identified by our Supervisors and Consultants.

All our Therapists have obtained at least a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields from local or overseas universities. On top of that, they have gone through more than 400 hours of training in their first year and over 200 hours of ongoing training every year thereafter by local and overseas experts in the field.  Being highly skilled and experienced, together with the intensive and extensive support, our Therapists perform their duties with great expertise, confidence, and care.

Training for our Therapists comes in many forms:

  • Pre-Service Intensive Training and Orientation: -

    • All new hires are required to complete a 240-hour pre-service training and orientation on implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with students with ASD.

    • The training and orientation include, but are not limited to the form of lectures, case studies, role-play, case observations, and practical hands-on sessions closely monitored by our Clinical Supervisors.

  • Weekly Supervision: -

    • Our Therapists receive over 400 hours of induction training and 1:1 supervision by our Clinical Supervisors and Consultants in their first year on the job.

    • They continue to receive over 200 hours of supervision per year in the form of weekly supervisions, clinics and team meetings specific to their respective cases, which helps to monitor and evaluate the quality of our services and to track the progress of our students.

  • Performance Evaluation: -

    • Our Therapists are formally evaluated through supervision and review meetings with our Director of Training on an ongoing basis.

    • Evaluations are based on Therapist’s practical skills, programming skills, communication skills, organization skills as well as professionalism and leadership qualities.
